Follow us for more jobs Designation: Mechanical Designer Experience: 5-15 Years Job Location: Ahmedabad Industry: Oil and Gas Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment for oil and gas projects, including pipelines, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other machinery. Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API). Develop and design natural gas systems and components, including pipelines, compressors, valves, and storage facilities. Project Management: Participate in project planning, scope development, and execution. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for mechanical project elements. Coordinate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Technical Expertise: Perform mechanical engineering calculations (sizing, stress analysis). Provide technical support and guidance to project teams. Stay updated on the latest engineering technologies and best practices. Quality Control: Ensure designs meet quality and safety standards. Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to mechanical codes and standards. Problem Solving: Identify and address potential issues or problems during the design and construction phases. Troubleshoot and find solutions to design-related issues. Specific Areas of Focus: Drilling Equipment: Design and development of drilling rigs, blowout preventers, and wellhead systems. Production Equipment: Design and development of production separators, pipelines, and pumps. Processing Equipment: Design and development of refining units, heat exchangers, and boilers. Storage and Transportation: Design and development of tanks, pipelines, and loading/unloading systems. Other Duties: May be involved in maintenance and repair of equipment, including regular inspections, predictive maintenance, and repair of equipment. May assist in the development of new technologies and processes for the oil and gas industry. Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
