Costing - Manager ( US Operations )

Time Zone : 1 PM to 10 PM IST Develop and maintain detailed product costing systems, including material costs, labor rates, overhead allocations in system Support in the development of cost sheets and financial models for product costing. Analyzed purchase orders and inventory data to calculate accurate product costs. Lead cost analysis and cost control processes for operational departments, ensuring all cost categories are tracked, reported, and optimized for better financial performance. Collaborate with, procurement, and production teams to review and update cost structures across departments, streamlining cost allocations to ensure consistency across business units. Worked closely with procurement and operations teams to gather relevant cost data . Oversee the integration of the costing system for the acquisition of target product , ensuring the merging of costing models, budgeting, and financial reporting systems. Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual costs with budgeted figures, identifying deviations, and providing actionable insights to senior management for cost optimization. Work with IT and finance teams to ensure the successful migration of costing data and systems following a merger, achieving 100% system alignment with minimal disruption. Prepared detailed cost reports for senior management, highlighting key trends, potential savings, and areas for improvement. Assisted in the releasing periodic cost reports and presented findings to senior management. Managed and updated cost databases, ensuring accuracy and timely input of cost information for manufacturing and product development. Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Cost Accounting, Business, or Finance . Preferred ICWA of similar degree. Industry experience of 10 years . Five (5) years accounting experience in product costing , standard costing, activity-based costing, absorption costing. SAP strongly preferred. Preference given to applicants with an understanding of pharmaceutical industry, pricing, contract, and flow preferred. Excel Expertise: Advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), data analysis, reporting
