We are currently seeking Manager – Business Development (Technology) to join our team based at our Mumbai or Noida or Chennai Office. About the Job: The Business Development Manager holds a high responsibility and will play a vital role in helping the Company achieve its sales and business goals. Works closely as a first point of contact for client, coordination with internal engineering departments, Commercial departments & IBU / Business Line management to ensure a good flow of information throughout the business. • Establish and maintain relationships with Client organizations. • Understanding of client requirements for technology projects like Ethylene, Refining Units, Petrochemical plant portfolio. • Understand intended developments and be responsible for day-to-day contact with these clients. • Involved in identification of preferred opportunities and developing strategy for capture and execution of prospects. • Represent the Company at various meetings and events, promoting the Company's capabilities, product lines and services, always maintaining a positive and professional impression. About The Role: Responsibilities: • Sector: Ethylene, Refinery & Petrochemicals sector. • Business Development, Marketing and Sales of T.EN offerings in Technology Portfolio (Ethylene, FCC, Petrochemicals like Styrene, Cumene, IPA, Bisphenol, Epicerol, PET etc) in India according to Company’s strategy. • Identification & development of business opportunities, determine customer's needs and priorities, formulation of prospect strategies including capture strategies for the positioning of the company. • Identify customers for technology, develop contacts and nurture to the next level. • Develop and manage client key accounts. • Study Tender enquiry and clearly define the requirements to Proposal Teams. • Ensuring full compliance with Sales Process / T.EN Global requirements. • Negotiate and finalize the contracts on behalf of the company. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of markets and Technip Energies product portfolio. • Provide in-house support for preparation of proposals and assist in formulating sales strategy. • Gathering competitor information and analyzing it. Reporting lines and interactions: • Reports to (Operational or plain line reports): Director – Ethylene Market • Reports to (Functional or dotted line reports): VP – Commercial (India) • Directly supervises to (Operational or plain line reports): N/A • Directly supervises to (Functional or dotted line reports): N/A • Internal key interactions: Legal and Contracts, Estimation, Taxation, Group offices, Various Disciplines in Huston, Boston & other OC’s depending on source of technology. • External key interactions: Clients, Strategic Partners About You • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering. MBA / MTech would be an added advantage. • 8-15 years of Experience for Process Engineering. Experience in selection of Licensor, Process engineering in Ethylene/ FCC / Petrochemical shall be prioritized. • Result oriented approach and ability to deliver targets. • Managed key stakeholders from client side at various levels with understanding on who’s who in the market. • Commercial & legal concepts, interest to learn commercial aspects. • Excellent Planning and Organizing Skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to the role. • Good Presentation and Communication Skills. • Learning agility & Ability to work under pressure.
