Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer with substantial DevOps experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, particularly with Spring Boot microservices , and hands-on experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines , automation , scripting , multi-service handling , and observability . This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure applications in a cloud environment. Key Responsibilities: Java Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java applications using Spring Boot . Implement microservices architecture and ensure seamless integration between services. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to SOLID principles . DevOps Practices: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab , or Bitbucket to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for consistent and repeatable deployments. Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible , Chef , or Puppet to automate system configurations and deployments. Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using languages like Python , Groovy , or Bash to streamline deployment and operational tasks. Ensure automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline to maintain code quality and reliability. Multi-Service Handling & Observability: Manage and orchestrate multiple services using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes . Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance and system health, utilizing tools such as Prometheus , Grafana , or ELK stack . Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications. Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience in Java development with a focus on Spring Boot microservices . Proven experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices . Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure . Proficiency in scripting languages like Python , Groovy , or Bash . Experience with containerization and orchestration tools ( Docker , Kubernetes ). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools ( Prometheus , Grafana , ELK stack ). Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation . Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible , Chef , or Puppet . Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps and cloud environments. Certifications in AWS , Azure , or DevOps methodologies. Skills: Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies . Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
