Job Objective Lead all Product engineering department activities, spanning across Helmet, Body Armor, Vehicle Protection, development and testing. Provide superior technical knowledge in all areas of Product Engineering life cycle. Responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of Product Engineers. Responsible for new product development plan along with Product Manager. Work on RCA and CAPA for Product Engineering customer complaints. The role has full budgetary responsibility for the Product Engineering department and implementing continuous improvement principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes. Job Specifications Qualification Min. qualification required M.Tech/ B. Tech in Material Science / Composites Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, Polymer engineering or Equivalent. Other desired qualifications Prior experience in Ballistic equipment designing such as Safety Armor, Helmets, Shields etc. Experience of handling a team of 30 members Experience in Business development and Customer demonstrations Relevant Experience 20 years of overall experience, 8 years as a design lead. Job Location: Kanpur (U.P.) Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge of ballistic materials, energy absorption composites. Experience in protective armor end material fabrication. Knowledge of 2D drawings. Good knowledge of physical and mechanical properties of different materials used in safety equipment. Cost estimation and project feasibility study Significant experience working in cross-functional teams to develop new products and technology in highly regulated environments
