Senior React Developer - TV/OTT Platform

Job Title : Senior React Developer (TV / OTT Platforms) Location : Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune Experience : 6-10 Years About The Role : We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Front-end Developer to join our Remote Lab team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the user interface for our innovative platform. You will be working closely with our back-end developers and other team members to deliver a seamless and engaging user : - Architect, design, and develop the front-end of our Linux-based TV Box application using React. - Lead the development of front-end features for our remote lab platform, including functionalities for booking, test scheduling, and results presentation, with a strong emphasis on the TV/OTT user experience. - Implement and customize UI/UX libraries and components, ensuring they are optimized for performance and usability on TV/OTT devices. - Ensure cross-browser and, more importantly, cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness across various TV operating systems (e.g., Android TV, Roku, Fire TV, WebOS, Tizen) and screen resolutions. - Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Contribute significantly to the team's technical discussions, offering expertise and insights related to front-end development for TV/OTT platforms. - Collaborate effectively with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow. - Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional and visually appealing user interfaces optimized for the TV viewing experience. - Optimize front-end performance for TV/OTT devices with limited processing power and memory, ensuring smooth and responsive user interactions. - Troubleshoot and debug issues specific to TV/OTT platform deployments, including handling remote control inputs and navigation patterns. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in React development and the evolving landscape of TV/OTT platforms. - Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for developed components and features. Technical Skills : - React : Extensive experience (6 years) in developing complex user interfaces using React and its core principles. - JavaScript/ES6 : Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6), including asynchronous programming, closures, and module systems. - HTML/CSS : Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design principles, CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less), and CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Styled Components). - UI/UX Libraries and Frameworks : Proven experience working with popular UI/UX component libraries and frameworks (e.g., Material UI, Ant Design, Tailwind CSS), with the ability to customize and optimize them for TV/OTT environments. - RESTful APIs : Strong experience in integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and handling data exchange. - Linux : Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems, particularly in the context of embedded systems or TV boxes. - TV/OTT Platform Specifics : A strong understanding of the unique challenges and considerations for developing applications on TV/OTT platforms, including : - Navigation patterns using remote controls. - Performance optimization for low-resource devices. - Handling different TV screen resolutions and aspect ratios. - Familiarity with common TV operating systems (Android TV, Roku, Fire TV, WebOS, Tizen). - Cross-Browser/Platform Compatibility : Experience in ensuring application compatibility and consistent user experience across various web browsers and TV/OTT platforms. - Performance Optimization : Proven ability to identify and resolve front-end performance bottlenecks, especially in the context of TV/OTT devices. - Testing : Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library) and writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. - Version Control : Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 6-10 years of professional experience as a Front-end Developer with a strong focus on React. - Proven experience in developing and deploying applications specifically for TV or OTT platforms is highly desirable. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a remote, collaborative team. - A passion for creating high-quality user experiences.
