Zensar Technologies - Grafana Monitoring Engineer - Prometheus

Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain dynamic and interactive Grafana dashboards to visualize metrics, logs, and traces from various data sources. - Create and customize Grafana panels, visualizations, and templates to meet specific monitoring requirements. - Optimize Grafana dashboards for performance and usability. - Manage Grafana users, permissions, and data sources. - Configure and manage Prometheus servers and exporters to collect metrics from applications and infrastructure. - Develop and maintain PromQL queries for data analysis and visualization. - Implement and configure Prometheus alerting rules to proactively identify and address potential issues. - Configure and manage alert routing and notification mechanisms. - Optimize Prometheus performance and storage. - Integrate Grafana and Prometheus with various data sources, including databases, message queues, and cloud platforms. - Configure and manage data exporters and agents to collect relevant metrics and logs. - Ensure data accuracy and consistency across monitoring systems. - Utilize Grafana and Prometheus to analyze logs and metrics data for troubleshooting and root cause analysis. - Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in monitoring data. - Develop and maintain documentation for monitoring procedures and troubleshooting guides. - Develop automation scripts and templates to streamline monitoring tasks and deployments. - Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for monitoring infrastructure. - Automate the deployment and configuration of Grafana and Prometheus components. - Monitor and optimize the performance of Grafana and Prometheus systems. - Identify and address performance bottlenecks and resource utilization issues. - Implement best practices for monitoring system scalability and reliability. - Collaborate with development, operations, and other teams to ensure effective monitoring and observability. - Communicate monitoring insights and recommendations to stakeholders. - Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities. Required Skills : - Strong experience with Grafana dashboard development and management. - Extensive experience with Prometheus monitoring and alerting. - Proficiency in PromQL and Grafana query languages. - Experience with configuring and managing Prometheus exporters and agents. - Understanding of monitoring and observability principles. - Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash). - Experience with version control systems (Git). - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Good communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience with other monitoring and observability tools (Loki, Tempo, Jaeger, ELK stack). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible). - Experience with API monitoring. - Experience with synthetic monitoring. - Experience with APM tools.
