Collibra Workflow Developer Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India Experience: 3-4 years of hands-on workflow implementation experience Technology Stack: Collibra Data Intelligence Center (2023.08), Eclipse IDE, Flowable (Activiti) Designer Plugins, Groovy, Javascript, SQL (Basic-Intermediate) About the Job : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collibra Workflow Developer to join our growing data governance and business intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient workflows within the Collibra Data Intelligence Center platform. You will play a crucial role in automating data governance processes, improving data quality, and ensuring compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Collibra concepts, excellent scripting skills (Groovy and Javascript), and advanced expertise in using Flowable/Activiti Designer to build complex workflows. You should be able to translate business requirements into technical workflow designs and have a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly solutions. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement workflows in Collibra Data Intelligence Center (version 2023.08) to automate data governance processes, including data quality management, metadata management, and compliance. - Utilize the Flowable (Activiti) Designer plugin within Eclipse IDE to create, test, and deploy workflow definitions. - Write efficient and well-documented Groovy and Javascript scripts to implement workflow logic, data transformations, and integrations. - Customize the Collibra metamodel and operating model to align with workflow requirements and organizational structures. - Develop workflows for various use cases, including individual and bulk asset imports (leveraging Java API and REST Core API), interactive workflows with user-friendly interfaces, live and native voting processes, and scheduler-based workflows for periodic tasks and reporting. - Build workflows capable of processing and manipulating large volumes of data from various sources (e.g., Excel, CSV, JSON). - Understand and customize the overall workflow architecture, including email templates and Groovy libraries, to meet specific business needs. - Adhere to established Business Process Notation (BPMN) standards, deployment processes, and industry best practices for coding and tool utilization. - Develop and implement workflows using the New Workflow Designer in Collibra. - Enhance workflow forms using HTML, Javascript, and external elements to improve user experience and functionality (a plus). - Formulate and implement validation rules within Collibra through workflow logic (good to have). - Integrate Collibra workflows with external platforms such as JIRA and Service Now, as well as other relevant applications (good to have). - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing workflows, ensuring their stability and performance. - Collaborate with data governance analysts, data stewards, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective workflow solutions. - Document workflow designs, implementation details, and test cases. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Collibra features, functionalities, and best practices. - Provide technical guidance and support to other team members on workflow-related topics. - Recommend new ideas and approaches to workflow design based on the existing operating model structure and industry best practices. Required Skills and Experience: - 3-4 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing workflows, preferably within Collibra Data Intelligence Center. - Strong understanding of core Collibra concepts, including metamodel customization, operating model, and scopes. - Proven ability to recommend innovative workflow solutions based on the existing operating model structure. - Excellent Groovy and Javascript scripting skills with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. - Advanced expertise in using the Flowable/Activiti Designer (Eclipse plugin) to develop medium to complex workflows for data governance. - Exposure to various workflow use cases, including: - Individual & bulk asset imports (via Java API, REST Core API) - Interactive workflows with good UI experience - Knowledge of live voting and native voting embedded in approval processes - Scheduler-based workflows for periodic/reporting processes - Workflows that can process (read/write/manipulate) large volumes of data (e.g., Excel, CSV, JSON) - Must have a solid understanding of the overall workflow architecture, including possible customizations for email templates and Groovy libraries. - Must adhere to standards for Business Process Notations, deployment processes, and industry best practices for coding and tool usage. - Key understanding and hands-on implementation experience of workflows using the New Workflow Designer. - Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation. Nice to Have Skills and Experience : - Core JAVA programming skills. - Database knowledge in SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres. - Experience with other Data Governance and Business Intelligence tools such as Alation, Azure Purview, or IBM BPM. - Ability to enhance workflow forms with HTML, Javascript, and external elements. - Experience in formulating validation rules in Collibra and implementing them via workflows. - Experience in integrating workflows with external platforms (like JIRA, Service Now) and other applications.
