Experience : 10 - 12 yrs Job Location : Mumbai Job Summary : As a Project Manager with a Java development background, you will manage the entire project lifecycle for software development projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the technical and business requirements. You will lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions built primarily with Java technologies. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and manage the full project lifecycle of Java-based software development projects, from planning and execution to delivery and post-launch support. - Coordinate with stakeholders, including product owners and business leaders, to define project scope, requirements, and expectations. - Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software applications built with Java and related technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate). - Monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and proactively address potential risks to ensure that projects stay on track. - Prioritize project tasks, balancing competing demands and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources. - Ensure that Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) are followed throughout the project lifecycle, including facilitating key ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional software solutions. - Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle. - Maintain high standards of quality assurance, working closely with QA teams to implement effective testing strategies and ensure code quality. - Provide post-launch support and work with the team to fix issues and improve the : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and associated technologies (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, Java EE). - Proven experience in project management, including leading software development projects using Agile or Scrum methodologies. - Strong understanding of the Java development ecosystem, including frameworks, libraries, and tools commonly used in the industry. - Hands-on experience in Java application development, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Asana). - Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and project teams effectively. - Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications is a plus. Preferred Skills : - Experience working with modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud for building microservices-based applications. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying Java-based applications. - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) for streamlining development and deployment processes. - Experience in managing large-scale enterprise-level applications and integrations. - Strong understanding of software architecture principles and best practices, particularly in the context of Java applications. - Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and their integration into Java applications.
