Ascendion - Machine Learning Engineer - NLP/Python

Job Description : What you need to bring : Education and Experience : - Bachelor's/master's in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in the IT industry, experience in Data space is a must. - Proven experience as an NLP/ML engineer, with a strong focus on NLP techniques and model development. - 3 years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning and AI applications. - Proven track record of successfully delivering machine learning projects in a production environment. Technical Skills : - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. - Strong experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and others. - Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques. - Solid understanding of generative models, including Large and Small Language Models - Experience implementing Agentic AI using LLM/SLM orchestration - Design, develop, and deploy NLP and LLM models to address business challenges and improve operational efficiency. - Develop and fine-tune models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, language translation, and much more - Prepare and preprocess large volumes of text data, including data cleaning, stemming, and other text processing tasks. - Understand requirements and participate in developing quality code. - Familiarity with leveraging and modifying open-source libraries to build custom frameworks. - Experiment with various machine learning algorithms and tools to optimize model performance. - Develop applications and systems that utilize AI tools, Cloud services, with proper cloud or on-prem application. - Be able to apply GenAI models as part of the solution. - Could also include but not limited to deep learning, neural networks, chatbots, image processing. - Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data science. - Conduct research and experimentation to develop innovative solutions and improve existing methodologies. - Expertise in handling and processing large datasets using tools such as SQL, Hadoop, or Spark or AWS/GCP - Ability to conduct independent research and develop innovative solutions to complex problems (ref:hirist.tech)
