JK Tech - Java Backend Engineer

Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities : - Design and implement scalable web applications and platforms using technologies such as Core Java, Spring Boot, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Git, JUnit, Maven, and Gradle. - Develop and maintain robust and efficient backend APIs following REST API design patterns. - Leverage your understanding of microservices architecture to design and implement independent and well defined components. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. - Write well-documented, clean, and maintainable code adhering to best practices. - Collaborate effectively with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high quality solutions. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Java backend development and cloud computing. - Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate within the Skills : - Core Java - Spring Boot - Web Services (REST, SOAP) - Containerization (Docker) - Kubernetes - MySQL - PostgreSQL - AWS (basic understanding) - Git - JUnit - Maven - Advantage (Good to Have) : - Experience with AWS technologies such as EKS, ECS, ECR, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, and ALB. - Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit. - Good working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence for project management and collaboration. - Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure as code. - Basic knowledge of Docker Compose and : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 4-6 years of professional experience in Java backend development. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. - Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with database design and querying (both relational and NoSQL). - Experience with version control systems (Git). - Understanding of software testing principles and experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG). - Experience working in an Agile development environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills (ref:hirist.tech)
