In mid-2023, the company established a dedicated AI practice to develop unique GenAI and AI/ML-based software solutions, empowering customers to integrate AI technology into their business operations. Xemplar Insights is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for the design and development of AI/ML predictive models that augment our decision support systems using customers' historical data sets. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our AI-driven solutions provide actionable insights and value to our clients. Job Responsibilities of this position : - Design and develop AI/ML predictive models that enhance the decision-making process for our clients, leveraging their own historical data sets. - Work closely with customers to understand their data, business needs, and objectives, ensuring that the models developed are tailored to provide maximum value. - Implement, test, and validate machine learning algorithms to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of the models. - Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other data scientists to integrate the models into Xemplars broader product ecosystem. - Analyze and interpret complex data sets, delivering insights that inform business decisions and improve predictive model accuracy. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and bring fresh ideas to continuously improve the modeling process. - Provide thought leadership and mentorship to the overall team and assist in the development of best practices. - Close closely with teams comprising business analysts, frontend, mid-tier, and backend developers in developing production applications that utilize the developed models. - Conceptualize problems, apply appropriate theory, explore approaches, simulate, and implement them with minimal supervision. - Define data needs, evaluate data quality, and extract/transform data for analytic projects and research. Required Relevant Experience : - Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML predictive models in a production environment. - Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, and deep learning. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar, and experience with machine learning libraries (e., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch). - Experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, and working with large and complex datasets. - Strong experience in model validation and testing to ensure robustness and reliability. - Knowledge of the P&C Insurance domain is preferred, especially in areas like claims prediction, risk modeling, pricing optimization, and customer segmentation. - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. - Must have hands on experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data. - Must have 5 years experience in developing predictive models, data mining, statistical model development, big data use, and high-performance computing. Other Experience : - Experience working for customers located in the US. - Proficiency in using Jira software, MS-Office products, etc. - Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to changing priorities and external constraints. - Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience in leadership through influence (e. , without formal authority). - Candidates with strong referrals will be Qualifications : - A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree is a Location : Hyderabad.
