SolidWorks Customization Developer - C#/VB

Job Title: SolidWorks Customization Developer (C#, VBA) Experience: 3-5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Fully Remote) Job Description: We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented SolidWorks Customization Developer with a strong background in C#, VBA, and related programming languages. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in customizing SolidWorks to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and support complex engineering and design projects. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to innovative solutions in a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities: - SolidWorks Customization : Develop and implement custom functionalities in SolidWorks using C# and VBA to meet specific design and engineering needs. - API Integration : Utilize SolidWorks APIs to automate repetitive tasks, create custom tools, and enhance the software's core functionalities. - Code Development : Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using C++, C#, and VBA. - Class Library Management : Develop and manage reusable class libraries, promoting code efficiency and modularity. - Troubleshooting & Debugging : Identify and resolve issues within SolidWorks software and associated custom applications, ensuring minimal disruption to workflows. - Application Optimization : Continuously assess and improve the performance of existing SolidWorks-based custom applications to enhance speed, stability, and usability. - Collaboration : Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, engineers, and project managers, to translate business needs into technical solutions. - Documentation : Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for developed solutions, including code comments, user guides, and technical specifications. - Design Principles : Apply an understanding of CAD design principles and engineering concepts to develop effective and practical software solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Proven experience in SolidWorks customization using C# and VBA (3-5 years). - Strong programming skills in C++, C#, and VBA. - Expertise in developing and managing class libraries for reusable code. - In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks APIs and advanced functionalities. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug effectively. - Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting and collaborate with diverse teams. - Familiarity with CAD design principles and engineering concepts. - Preferred: Certifications in CAD customization and programming. - Additional Advantage: Experience with other CAD software such as Creo and NX.
