Job Title : Kofax Environment Specialist Role Description : We are seeking an experienced Kofax Environment Specialist to join our team and take ownership of the stability, maintenance, and optimization of our Kofax environment. In this critical role, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues across our central and remote Kofax sites. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our document capture and processing workflows, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining data integrity. This is a hands-on role focused on the setup, maintenance, and upkeep of the Kofax environment, requiring a deep understanding of Kofax architecture and its various modules. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of effectively managing and troubleshooting complex Kofax deployments. Responsibilities : Remote Synchronization Issue Resolution : - Investigate and resolve issues related to Kofax remote synchronization between central and remote sites, including problems with batch loading, batches dropping during processing, and failures in proper batch insertion. - Implement preventative measures and best practices to minimize recurring synchronization issues. - Monitor synchronization processes and proactively identify potential points of failure. Kofax Module Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve operational issues within various Kofax modules, including : - Kofax Capture (batch classes, scanning profiles, validation rules, etc.) - Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) (project setup, classification, extraction, validation scripts) - Export Connectors (configuration, troubleshooting data transfer to target systems) - Scan Module (scanner configurations, image acquisition problems) - Import Connectors (configuration, troubleshooting import processes from various sources) - Integrated Connectors (issues related to integrations with other enterprise systems) - Image Conversion and Processing (errors, performance issues) Kofax Upgrades and Maintenance : - Plan, coordinate, and execute Kofax environment upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. - Apply patches and hotfixes as required. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of the Kofax environment and upgrade processes. Networking Issue Resolution (Kofax Context) : - Troubleshoot networking issues that arise between the Kofax application and its related modules on dependent remote sites and application clusters. - Collaborate with network teams to identify and resolve connectivity problems impacting Kofax functionality. - Understand network dependencies of the Kofax environment. Kofax Architecture and Batch Flow Expertise : - Possess in-depth knowledge of Kofax Remote Synchronization, Kofax Capture architecture, and Content Management Kofax Connectors. - Analyze and resolve issues related to increased volumes of stuck or problematic batches from an architectural perspective, identifying bottlenecks and recommending configuration adjustments. - Understand the end-to-end batch processing flow within the Kofax environment. Environment Setup and Maintenance : - Manage the configuration and ongoing maintenance of the Kofax environment across all sites. - Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization. - Ensure the stability and reliability of the Kofax platform. - Implement and maintain security best practices within the Kofax environment. Collaboration and Communication : - Effectively communicate technical issues and resolutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues. - Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing. Qualifications : - Proven experience in setting up, maintaining, and updating complex Kofax environments. - Extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting Kofax Remote Synchronization issues. - Deep understanding of Kofax Capture, Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM), and various Kofax Connectors (Export, Import, Integrated). - Experience with Kofax upgrades and maintenance procedures. - Solid understanding of networking concepts relevant to Kofax application and module communication across distributed environments. - Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues related to high volumes of problematic batches within the Kofax architecture. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills : - Experience with specific content management systems that integrate with Kofax. - Knowledge of scripting languages for automation within the Kofax environment. - Familiarity with monitoring tools relevant to Kofax performance. - Relevant Kofax certifications (ref:hirist.tech)
