MS Dynamics AX Lead

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced MS Dynamics AX Lead to architect, develop, and manage large-scale implementations of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and functional expertise in AX systems, with a proven ability to lead complex implementations, customizations, integrations, and upgrades. This is a leadership role that requires collaboration across business and technology teams, ensuring alignment of the AX platform with enterprise goals. Key Responsibilities : - Architect and implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 F&O solutions tailored to business needs. - Lead X development, including customization, enhancements, and module extensions. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AX consultants and developers. - Translate functional requirements into technical designs and AX-based solutions. - Oversee end-to-end system integration with third-party applications (CRM, Power BI, Azure services, etc. - Ensure scalability, security, and performance optimization across the AX environment. - Plan and manage data migration strategies from legacy systems to AX 2012/D365. - Lead AX deployment, version upgrades, patches, and global rollouts. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and system defects. - Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to define roadmaps and ensure alignment with business goals. - Design and document system architecture, development standards, and best practices. - Monitor emerging Microsoft Dynamics technologies and recommend strategic Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 10 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 F&O. - Minimum 2 years experience in AX 2012 - Extensive knowledge of AX architecture, modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Retail, HR), workflows, and lifecycle services. - Strong expertise in X development, data entities, and customization frameworks. - Solid understanding of integration techniques with REST/SOAP APIs, OData, Azure services, and third-party systems. - Experience with data migration, using tools such as Data Management Framework (DMF) and SQL scripts. - Proficiency in Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus. - Knowledge of security roles, duties, and privileges within AX/D365. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, version control, and CI/CD pipelines for AX solutions. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver projects on time and within budget. - Knowledge of other Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and Office 365 (ref:hirist.tech)
