IoT Engineer

Position Title : IoT Engineer Location : Pune (Hybrid) Shift Timing : 2 PM to 11 PM IST Tech Stack : Cloud & Edge : AWS IoT Core, Greengrass, Lambda, : Python, C/C++, : Linux, Docker, Kubernetes Protocols : MQTT, CoAP, OPC-UA, : Kafka, RabbitMQ, Terraform, Ansible (optional) About the Role : We are actively seeking an experienced and innovative IoT Engineer to design and implement scalable, secure, and robust IoT solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Amazon IoT Greengrass, multicast networking, and Linux-based embedded systems. This role involves architecting end-to-end IoT systems, from edge devices to cloud platforms, ensuring reliable data flow, efficient network usage, and high-level security standards. - You will work closely with cross-functional teams including cloud architects, DevOps specialists, and firmware engineers to build edge computing solutions that power real-time decision-making across connected environments. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop edge computing solutions using Amazon IoT Greengrass. - Configure and deploy multicast communication protocols for device-to-device communication. - Build and maintain Linux-based embedded systems for edge deployments. - Implement scalable, secure solutions for IoT device connectivity, data acquisition, and cloud integration. - Handle device provisioning, remote monitoring, and lifecycle management across distributed IoT ecosystems. - Optimize performance of low-latency network protocols and ensure secure communications. - Integrate IoT data streams with AWS services such as IoT Core, Lambda, and S3. - Build and troubleshoot containerized edge applications using Docker and Kubernetes. - Enforce IoT security best practices including data encryption, identity and access management, and secure boot processes. - Collaborate with hardware and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration and performance : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in IoT systems development and deployment. - Strong hands-on experience with : 1. Amazon IoT Greengrass and AWS IoT Core 2. Multicast and communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, OPC-UA) 3. Linux-based embedded systems and shell scripting 4. Programming in Python, C/C++, or Golang 5. Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments - Understanding of IoT security frameworks and cryptographic protocols. - Familiarity with real-time processing tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Solid skills in debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting IoT devices and networks. Nice-to-Have Skills : - Experience with wireless protocols like LoRa, Zigbee, BLE, Wi-Fi 6, or 5G. - Exposure to hardware-level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI). - Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
