Workday Prism Developer

Job Title : Workday Prism Developer Locations : Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, India Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workday Prism Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-end development and maintenance of data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Workday's native analytics tool, Prism Analytics. Your primary focus will be to extract actionable insights from HR, Finance, and other business data within Workday, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of Workday data structures, reporting capabilities, and robust data analysis skills to translate complex business requirements into effective and user-friendly reports. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain a variety of Workday Prism Analytics reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations to meet diverse business needs across different functional areas (e.g., HCM, Finance, Supply Chain). - Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient and insightful data models and reporting solutions within Workday Prism Analytics. - Develop a deep understanding of Workday data sources, tables, and relationships across various Workday modules. - Utilize Workday's native reporting tools, including Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Advanced Reporting, and Composite Reporting, in conjunction with Prism Analytics to create comprehensive and integrated reporting solutions. - Build and manage Prism Analytics data sources, datasets, and data transformations to prepare data for reporting and analysis. - Collaborate closely with functional Workday teams (e.g., HR, Finance) and business stakeholders to gather detailed reporting requirements, understand data needs, and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Optimize the performance of Prism Analytics reports and dashboards, ensuring efficient data retrieval and rendering for optimal user experience. - Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency within Workday Prism Analytics reports and dashboards through rigorous testing and validation. - Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed reports, dashboards, calculated fields, data sources, and transformation logic within Prism Analytics. - Participate in the testing and validation phases of report development to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to requirements. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday Prism Analytics reports, dashboards, and underlying data sources. - Stay up-to-date with the latest features, functionalities, and best practices related to Workday Prism Analytics and other Workday reporting tools. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of reporting standards, guidelines, and templates within the Workday environment. - Potentially involve integrating external data sources into Workday Prism Analytics using Workday Cloud Connect or other integration tools. - Provide guidance and support to end-users on how to effectively utilize Workday Prism Analytics reports and dashboards. Technical Skills & Qualifications : - Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in developing reports and analytics within Workday, with a strong emphasis on Workday Prism Analytics. - Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Workday Prism Analytics. - Deep understanding of Workday data structures, business objects, and their relationships across various functional areas (HCM, Finance, etc.). - Strong proficiency in utilizing Workday's native reporting tools, including : 1. Workday Report Writer (Simple, Advanced, Matrix, Composite Reports) 2. Calculated Fields (various functions and use cases) 3. Workday Prism Analytics (Data Sources, Datasets, Data Flows, Visualizations, Dashboards) - Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate business questions into meaningful reports and insights. - Demonstrated ability to gather and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications for Prism Analytics development. - Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and their application within Workday Prism Analytics. - Experience in optimizing report performance and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with functional teams and business stakeholders. - Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality reporting solutions. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field. Bonus Points : - Experience with Workday Extend for building custom applications and integrations within the Workday ecosystem. - Knowledge of Workday security configurations and their impact on reporting access and data visibility. - Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data integration techniques. - Familiarity with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense. - Experience in developing reports and dashboards within specific Workday functional areas (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Financial Accounting, Procurement). - Workday certifications related to reporting and analytics (Workday Reporting and Analytics Certification). - Experience with Workday Studio for more complex integrations and reporting scenarios.
