SQL Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Team Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server development, data modeling, and performance optimization. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust database solutions, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data products. You will play a crucial role in driving our data strategy and supporting our business objectives through efficient and effective database management. Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of SQL developers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. - Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to team members. - Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of team members. - Develop and maintain complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and above. - Design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas that can be utilized across multiple customers. - Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and ETL processes. - Implement and manage database security measures. - Design and develop underlying data models and databases to support business requirements. - Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to ensure data consistency and integrity. - Ensure data quality and implement data validation processes. - Perform comprehensive performance tuning and query optimization to ensure optimal database performance. - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency. - Monitor database performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues. - Ensure compliance with established coding standards and conventions. - Conduct thorough quality checks on reports and data exports to ensure accuracy and reliability. - Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures. - Analyze and resolve complex database issues independently and efficiently. - Provide timely and effective support for production database issues. - Document solutions and best practices. - Work within a Scrum/Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. - Work with Microsoft Reporting Services(SSRS) to create reports. - Contribute to the implementation of data visualization tools like Qlik/Qlik Sense Required Skills and Qualifications : - 8-10 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server development. - Expertise in T-SQL programming, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers. - Strong experience in database design, data modeling, and schema development. - Proficient in developing and maintaining SSIS packages. - Experience in performance tuning and query optimization. - Solid understanding of database administration principles. - Experience with data dictionary and metadata management. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Experience in ensuring compliance to standards and conventions when developing programs - Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Qlik/Qlik Sense. - Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS). - Experience in Database Administration activities. - Flexible working hours. - Learning and development opportunities. - Comprehensive medical and insurance benefits.
