Big Data Developer - Scala/Spark

Role : Big Data Developer Skills : Big Data, Scala, Spark, Python Experience : 4-8 Years Joining : Immediate Joiners Only Location : Pune Contract Duration : 6 Months About the Job : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Big Data Developer to join our dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable and efficient big data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Big Data technologies, particularly Spark and Scala, and have hands-on experience with cloud platforms. As an immediate joiner, you will play a crucial role in contributing to ongoing projects and delivering high-quality solutions within tight timelines. Responsibilities : - Requirement Analysis : Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for big data solutions. - Architecture Design : Design robust and scalable big data architectures based on project requirements and best practices. - Development : Develop high-performance data processing pipelines and applications using Spark and Scala. - Code Quality : Adhere to established coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure the delivery of clean, maintainable, and efficient code. - Project Management : Provide timely and accurate updates on progress, challenges, and risks in Jira tickets. - Integration & Deployment : Participate in the integration and deployment of developed modules and solutions as per project needs. - Defect Management : Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix defects identified during testing and production phases. - Agile Participation : Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Must-Have Skills : - Strong proficiency in Big Data technologies and concepts. - Extensive hands-on experience with Spark and Scala for large-scale data processing. - Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure). - Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Good-to-Have Skills : - Experience with Python for data manipulation and scripting. - Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Airflow or Kubeflow. - Exposure to stream processing technologies like Kafka. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. - Understanding of database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL).
