Engineering Manager

We are handling an exclusive opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a reputable, award-winning national developer in Surrey. Working as part of a team, you will be involved in the due diligence and value engineering of live and forthcoming projects throughout the South East, whilst liaising with sub-contractors, external consultants and local authorities. Hybrid working is available, plus a competitive salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Undertake detailed engineering due diligence during land acquisition and feasibility stages. Lead on the value engineering of live and upcoming residential projects. Oversee and coordinate civil engineering design (roads, drainage, levels) with external consultants. Ensure all engineering design complies with local authority requirements, Building Regulations, and NHBC/LABC standards. Manage technical input into planning applications and provide support through the planning approval process. Liaise with utility providers , statutory bodies , and highway/drainage authorities to ensure timely approvals and connections. Work collaboratively with internal teams including Land, Planning, Technical, and Construction. Support cost planning and procurement by identifying and mitigating engineering risks. Monitor consultant performance and ensure deadlines and technical standards are met. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and innovations in civil engineering.
