Health and Safety Advisor London Permanent £50,000 - £55,000 Are you passionate about promoting a positive health and safety culture? Join a dynamic and diverse environment as a Health & Safety Advisor for a leading independent school in London. This is a standalone role offering variety across multiple areas, including fire safety, occupational health, construction, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Audit facilities and practices to ensure health and safety compliance. Work with internal departments and external professionals to maintain and develop policies. Ensure readiness for inspections and compliance with relevant legislation. Provide reports and updates on health and safety performance. Manage risk assessments and maintain documentation registers. Oversee contractor safety compliance and site inductions. Play an active role in fostering a safe community and act as a first aider. Candidate Requirements: Essential: NEBOSH National Diploma (equivalent or working towards), broad knowledge of property, building, and occupational health and safety legislation, and experience leading health and safety in a complex organisation. Desirable: Understanding of independent school standards and experience in the education sector. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated problem solvers with excellent interpersonal, organisational, and IT skills. A commitment to fostering a culture of safety is a must.
