Job Description
Job title: Quality Assurance Engineer Job Type: Permanent Start date: Subject to Clearance Salary Range: £42,000 - £45,000 Per Annum Benefits Package: 25 days holiday, Pension Scheme, Life Insurance and Employee Assistance Programme Location: Croydon Fully On-Site Working Required Hours of work: 37.5 Hours Per Week Role & Responsibilities: • Quality Assurance and Control: -Support the Quality Manager and Quality Team to ensure compliance to the QMS and contracts. -Support Quality Control department when required to fulfil Quality Assurance dispositions from raised non-conformances. -To implement Quality Tools which demonstrate effective Quality Control for in-house Manufactured / Purchased parts (MSA, FOD, FAIR, and LAIR). -To develop the quality control systems consistent with the business needs and the requirements within ISO 9001 and other recognised Quality Standards (e.g. NQA-1, CSA N299, ISO 14933, AS9100) • Supplier quality management -To perform supplier assessments and surveillance according to QMS and contract requirements. -Supporting the Vendor rating system • Data analysis and reporting: -To provide reports on Quality activities • Quality auditing -Joining auditing team against proven processes and leading any corrective/preventive actions -Organise and control concessions, production permits and rejects as appropriate -Supporting the Concession process and the associated actions • Production monitoring and support -Ensuring all Process Documentation is being followed, supporting where inadequacies are found. -Ensure effective component control (traceability, cleanliness, handling) -Support manufacturing in ensuring process equipment is maintained and calibrated -Monitor process failures and support corrective and preventive actions -Ensure correct manufacturing documentation is being applied in accordance with the QMS and customer contractual requirements. Qualifications/Experience Required: • 2 - 5 years’ experience in a quality engineering or relevant role, preferably in manufacturing or production environments • Experience with quality management systems (QMS), auditing and compliance. • Knowledge of industry standards and certifications such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NQA-1, ISO 19443 • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality tools (Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, FMEA, 8D, 5 WHY, ISHIKAWA, FISHBONE) • Iso 9001 Quality auditor trained • Understanding of specifications, engineering drawings and principles • High degree of literacy, numeracy and communication skills • Computer literate in MS office qualifications • Full clean driving license • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams. • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
