Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Technician (12-Month Temporary Role) Location: Rhymney Manufacturing Facility Role Overview: The client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 12-month temporary role to cover a secondment. This key position involves front-line maintenance and breakdown response on a rotating shift pattern, ensuring the continuous operation of the client's manufacturing assets. Key Responsibilities: Perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime. Drive continuous improvement using plant metrics (e.g., OEE, downtime). Integrate new machinery/technology into operations. Diagnose and solve electrical and mechanical issues. Ensure health and safety standards are met during interventions. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and GMP. Issue permits and host service contractors post-training. Contribute to electrical specifications and safety evaluations. Record engineering changes and update drawings. Support maintenance strategies and recording systems. Log and record breakdowns and corrective actions in the maintenance management system. Skills & Experience: Understanding of clean room or controlled environment controls (HVAC, Humidity, Pressure Cascades). Broad experience in Electrical Systems, Operations, and Maintenance. Proficiency in PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; MS Project, CAD preferred). Knowledge of 18th Edition (BS-7671) IEE Regulations. Familiarity with PLCs and SCADA systems is advantageous. Compex training/awareness is desirable. Experience with CMMS systems like Maximo.
