Cost Engineer About the Opportunity: NRL is recruiting for a talented Cost Engineer on behalf of one of our esteemed clients in Suffolk. Key Responsibilities: Cost Management: Oversee cost management activities for the work portfolio, including cost monitoring, control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly reports that provide intelligent, data-driven insights into project costs, supporting effective decision-making. Project Support: Work closely with project teams to provide timely and accurate cost information that supports the successful delivery of projects. Cost Reconciliation: Reconcile cost data across various systems, ensuring alignment between estimates, forecasts, and actuals. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with high safety standards and regulations, working within highly regulated environments. Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in a cost-related discipline or relevant experience in project cost management. MACostE is desirable. Broad experience across the entire project lifecycle, including Engineering , Procurement , Construction , and Commissioning . Strong understanding of the relationship between time , cost , and the commercial aspects of the project life cycle. Proficiency in Primavera for scheduling and SAP Finance for project management. Experience with Earned Value Analysis and cost reconciliation techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.
