Lead Java Developer with AWS Location: Hybrid - twice a week onsite in Solihull, with occasional visits to clients in South London Clearance: NPPV3 SC (or active NPPV3 with willingness to undergo SC clearance) iO Associate are working exclusively with a global leader in digital transformation, known for pioneering innovative IT solutions that drive lasting change across sectors like public sector, healthcare, financial services, and retail We are seeking a seasoned Java Developer to take the lead in a long-term, high-impact project focused on Biometric technology. What you'll do: Lead development for cutting-edge Biometric products. Own and implement Java solutions for live systems, diagnosing incidents and supporting mission-critical services. Be part of a collaborative team that builds the best Java code out there! Your tech stack: Java 17, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST/SOAP Web Services, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB), Docker, PostgreSQL/Aurora, ActiveMQ, Maven, Jenkins, and more! Experience with Agile methods (Scrum, TDD, BDD) and CI tools (Jenkins, Git). Key experience: 8-10 years working on large-scale Spring-based Java projects. Proven ability to support live systems and tackle complex incidents. Hands-on with integration projects, microservices, messaging, and distributed systems. Experience working with AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL/Aurora.
