Job Title: Environmental Protection Team Manager Rate : £60ph Umbrella / £44.85ph PAYE Directorate: Regeneration & Development Service: Regulatory Services Business Unit: Environmental Protection Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme (Hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days remote) Main Purpose of Job: Manage the Environmental Protection Team: Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures, and develop the service according to Council standards. Deliver Statutory Functions: Ensure effective delivery of key functions such as: Investigating statutory nuisances Regulating pollution control from industrial premises Enforcing the Clean Air Act Regulating private water supplies Conducting local authority air quality work Managing contaminated land issues Acting as a consultee for licensing and planning departments Provide High-Quality Service: Create a high-performing, customer-focused, and cost-effective service through effective team and partnership management. Execute Duties Efficiently: Perform duties with professional competence as a qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHRB registered). Contract Details: Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Rate: Around £60 per hour Umbrella. Contract Duration: 3-4 months. Start Date: Around the 14th of April.
