About the Role Bright Heart Education seeks two tutors to support a student who requires both EYFS tuition and general support at school. The roles are each for 15 hours per week and will take place during the school day. Successful applicants must be Safe Hold trained and TEACCH® Autism Program trained Why work with Bright Heart? Specialist SEN tutoring agency Recognised at the National Tutoring Awards (2024/23/22) and Nasen Awards (2021/20) Work as a self-employed, part-time tutor , so freedom to choose your own assignments and hours Competitive tutoring rates , including an incentive scheme and a travel allowance for in-person tutoring Diverse client base working with parents, councils and schools, so options for day-time and after-school tutoring Respectful working environment for tutors On-going support from education consultants who are all qualified teachers On-going training , including access to comprehensive CPD through TES Develop Free annual nasen training workshop and social events hosted by Bright Heart Tutor of the Month award of £150 Responsibilities Successful candidates will be provided with further information and guidelines on the Bright Heart Approach and relevant training for working with SEN students Qualifications All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and a current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list) before commencing any tutoring assignments (we can apply on behalf of a candidate if not currently held). Candidates must also provide 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference. Candidates who have lived / worked overseas in the last 5 years will also need to provide certain overseas checks, including a police certificate. In addition, candidates should have: At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK Excellent spoken and written English Strong subject knowledge in their tuition subject(s) University qualification or studying towards one and A-levels Passion for teaching and their tuition subject(s) SEN tuition/teaching experience and a passion for working with students with SEN
