Mechanical Small Works Manager

Title: Mechanical Small Works Manager Location: Leicestershire Rate: Circa £30 per hour Contract: Temporary/Contract/Freelance Start Date: ASAPAre you a mechanical maestro with a knack for managing small-value projects? We're on the hunt for a dynamic Mechanical Small Works Manager to oversee a variety of mechanical projects ranging from £5k to £250k. This includes refurbishments, maintenance upgrades, reactive works, and minor installations. Your Role: Take charge of projects from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. Manage mechanical work like HVAC, plumbing, pipework, and refurbishments. Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Prepare scopes, quotations, schedules, and method statements. Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and resolve site issues. Build and maintain strong client relationships. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in mechanical contracting, ideally in a similar role. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general building services. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects at once. Commercial awareness and confidence in quoting works. Preferred qualifications: SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, or relevant H&S certifications. Mechanical qualifications (NVQ Plumbing and Heating, Gas Safe).
