QlikView Developer - SQL/ETL

About the Role : We are looking for a highly experienced QlikView Developer with strong proficiency in SQL to join our remote team on a full-time contractual basis. This position plays a crucial role in supporting global business operations by delivering reliable, insightful, and high-performance data visualization and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong analytical mindset, capable of working independently during late evening hours (6 PM to 12 AM IST) to align with international time zones and ensure timely business intelligence delivery. Key Responsibilities : 1. Dashboard Development : - Design, develop, and implement robust QlikView dashboards that are interactive, user-friendly, and tailored to meet specific business needs. - Maintain and enhance existing dashboards, ensuring optimal performance, usability, and scalability. - Translate complex business data into actionable insights through visually effective dashboards and reporting tools. 2. Data Management & SQL Development : - Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various relational databases and data sources. - Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data used in reports and dashboards. - Collaborate with data engineering teams to streamline data pipelines and optimize data availability. 3. Stakeholder Collaboration : - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and department heads, to gather and clarify requirements. - Translate business objectives into technical solutions that address reporting and analytical needs. - Provide guidance on data visualization best practices and educate stakeholders on dashboard usage. 4. Performance Tuning & Validation : - Conduct thorough testing and validation of dashboards and reports to ensure data accuracy and system reliability. - Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of dashboards and queries. - Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data discrepancies or performance lags. 5. Remote Collaboration & Autonomy : - Operate efficiently in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong time management and self-motivation. - Deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines while working independently during the evening IST shift. - Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and stakeholders across different time zones. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 45 years of proven experience in QlikView development and SQL programming. - Advanced proficiency in QlikView scripting, data modeling, and dashboard creation. - Strong expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for large, complex datasets using platforms such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. - Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data integration techniques. - Knowledge of data visualization principles and the ability to present data in a clear and impactful manner. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution. - Strong communication skills with the ability to document technical processes and interact effectively with non-technical stakeholders. - Comfortable working autonomously and managing workload in a remote setup.
