Performance Test Architect - Software Quality Assurance

Job Title : Performance Architect Experience Required : 15 Years Location : Hyderabad Job Type : Full-Time Department : Information Technology Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced Performance Architect with 15 years of expertise in designing, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of complex, large-scale systems. The ideal candidate will define performance strategies, lead performance engineering efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet scalability, reliability, and latency requirements. Key Responsibilities : - Own end-to-end system performance, including application, infrastructure, and network layers. - Define and implement performance architecture strategies for distributed, cloud, and enterprise-grade systems. - Conduct performance testing, profiling, and tuning across the tech stack (app, database, infra). - Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks and provide remediation strategies. - Design performance benchmarks, baselines, SLAs, and performance KPIs. - Utilize tools for load testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling), APM (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic), and profiling (e.g., YourKit, VisualVM). - Review design and code for performance anti-patterns and optimization opportunities. - Provide architectural guidance for capacity planning, caching, threading, concurrency, and throughput. - Lead performance readiness for production launches and major releases. - Collaborate with DevOps to build performance into CI/CD pipelines. Required Skills & Experience : - 15 years of IT experience with 7 years focused on performance architecture/engineering. - Strong understanding of application architectures microservices, monolithic, serverless, and cloud-native. - Expertise in performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, etc.). - Proficient in APM and monitoring platforms (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus Grafana). - Hands-on experience with profiling tools for Java/.NET/Node/Python. - Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud performance patterns. - Strong in database performance optimization (SQL and NoSQL). - Knowledge of caching (Redis, Memcached), CDNs, and async processing (queues, messaging). - Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation. Preferred Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Certifications in cloud platforms or performance testing (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Dynatrace Professional). - Experience in high-traffic, low-latency, or financial systems is a strong plus. Soft Skills : - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong verbal and written communication. - Ability to work across teams and influence technical direction. - Leadership in setting performance best practices and standards.
