Software Development Engineer - Blockchain

Job Title : Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE III) Blockchain Infrastructure Experience : 5 - 7 years Education : B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field About the Role : We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE III) to join our blockchain engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable blockchain infrastructure. Youll work on systems that power wallet operations, protocol integrations, crypto asset flows, and compliance enforcement for a high-volume, regulated Web3 environment. Key Responsibilities : Token Lifecycle Management : - Execute token listings, delistings, and swaps based on inputs from Marketing and Product teams, ensuring timelines and accuracy. Crypto Deposit & Withdrawal Systems : - Design and maintain robust systems for managing crypto asset deposits and withdrawals. - Build and monitor integrations with third-party Wallet-as-a-Service (WAAS) providers and blockchain networks. - Implement in-built transaction monitoring and system alert mechanisms. Transaction Signing : - Sign outbound transactions securely and ensure proper authorization protocols are followed. Blockchain Node Upgrades : - Track updates released by blockchain protocols, evaluate their impact, and safely implement mandatory/optional node upgrades. - Develop rollback mechanisms in case of instability. Funds Sweeping : - Automate and manage scheduled sweeping of funds to designated wallets as per internal protocols. - Ensure traceability and security of all fund Audits : - Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve transaction discrepancies. - Ensure transparency and traceability in line with internal and regulatory standards. Compliance Implementation : - Ensure all wallet operations and crypto transactions meet current compliance regulations. - Proactively update systems and processes in response to changes in standards. Wallet Management : - Manage end-to-end wallet infrastructure including configurations, access controls, and security protocols. Custody Integrations : - Integrate and manage multiple third-party custody service providers to ensure secure and reliable storage solutions. Skills & Competencies : Technical Skills : - Cryptography and secure transaction protocols - Blockchain and protocol understanding (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) - Smart contract basics - Web3 technologies and third-party wallet integrations Soft Skills : - Strong problem-solving mindset - Stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration - Attention to detail and audit-oriented thinking - Ownership and accountability in high-stakes environments Stakeholder Interactions : Internal : - Product Managers, Marketing, Compliance, CHC for prioritization, updates, alerts, and audit feedback External : - Wallet providers, Custody providers, Travel rule vendors, Blockchain protocol teams for integration support and ongoing issue resolution Performance Metrics (Examples from OKRs) : - Timely and accurate token listing/delisting - Uptime and reliability of deposit/withdrawal systems - Successful implementation of node upgrades without disruption - Compliance adherence and audit closure rates - Custody provider integration quality and performance (ref:hirist.tech)
