Mission The Institutional Affairs & Policies Manager will be responsible for advancing the company’s sustainability and stakeholder engagement efforts at Italy , ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives. This role will report to the Country Manager and to the Chief Stakeholder and Sustainability Officer, supporting the implementation of Zelestra's sustainability strategies and fostering collaborative relationships with external stakeholders. Responsibilities Sustainability, Regulatory and Communication Strategy Execution: Support the development and execution of sustainability initiatives in line with the company’s regional and global sustainability framework. Develop a strategy on regulations and legal rules for better management and best practices for renewable energy companies in a competitive market. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including communities, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and NGOs, to enhance the company's local reputation. ESG Performance: Monitor and contribute to improving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance metrics at the country level, focusing on sustainability practices. Community Engagement & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Lead local community engagement programs and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to drive positive social impact. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards, managing sustainability-related risks proactively. Innovative Practices: Identify opportunities for implementing innovative sustainability solutions relevant to the country’s needs. Sustainability Reporting: Gather and report sustainability data and ESG metrics, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting to regional teams. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with country-level teams to integrate sustainability principles into business operations and strategies. Support for Change Management: Assist in driving cultural change within the country’s operations, promoting sustainability as a core value. Job Requirements Training and Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Understanding of local and regional sustainability issues, ESG standards, and stakeholder engagement practices as well as energy law and regulations. Familiarity with the renewable energy sector, including emerging technologies and best practices in areas such as Wind, Solar, BESS, and Green Hydrogen (H2). Previous Experience 5 years in sustainability, stakeholder engagement, or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), with experience in the renewable energy sector preferred. Languages English: High level (C1-C2). Approximately 30% of working time.
