Job Description

The Engineering department currently has a vacancy for a detail orientated, process-driven, organized individual to join their team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment. The successful candidate must at all times, conduct him/herself in such a manner that reflects the professional and ethical values of the Group. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Plan and implement corrective, planned and preventive maintenance activities, by determining material, equipment, and labour needs to complete maintenance tasks economically and efficiently. Driving and championing the CWorks maintenance system and ensuring all departments utilization targets are met consistently Manage the Engineering Scope of Works and bill of materials Optimize resource utilization Provide and present training to new employees on Cworks maintenance system Ensure that a high quality of work and safety standards are maintained Identify, manage and address any and all discrepancies and inconsistencies with the relevant parties Identifying areas of improvement and implementing strategic changes to enhance productivity Generate and maintain reports Assist with Engineering Safety processes for day to day operations and shutdown work Assisting with coordinating and planning daily maintenance and repair activities Compile and capture machine parts on out stores system Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act Qualifying Criteria Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent Suitable qualification/certification in a trade and/or business administration Valid driver’s license Minimum of 8 years relevant working experience in a similar role Must be fully Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) Must have Strong proven administrative skills Experience working with an Electronic Maintenance system Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English) Must be prepared to work overtime when require Qualifying Attributes: Strong command of the English language: an eye for detail, meticulous grammar and comprehension, and exceptional written communication Basic understanding of additional languages advantageous Meticulous, accurate and attentive to detail Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills The ability to self-manage with minimal guidance Able to meet deadlines for multiple tasks at a time Ability to work under pressure Ability to organize and plan carefully Hard-working and self-motivated Ability to work independently as well as in a team Time management and organizational skills Excellent standards in execution Type Permanent Reporting to: Maintenance Manager /Engineering Directors Benefits include · Provident fund · Life cover · Funeral cover · Medical aid - hospital plan · 15 x paid leave days per annum · Long service leave after five years of employment Standard hours 07:30 – 17:00 Monday - Thursday 07:30 – 16:00 Fridays May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements Please note that the successful candidate will receive a formal, written offer of employment after all applicable pre-employment checks have been completed.
