About The Role We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel / Digger Fitters interested in joining our team at Blackwater Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on our large fleet consisting of: 1x Hitachi EX8000 excavator, 3x Caterpillar 6060 excavators & 1x Hitachi EX3600 excavator13x Komatsu 930E haul trucks &15x Caterpillar 789C haul trucks1x Caterpillar 16M grader &3x Caterpillar 18M graders4x Caterpillar D10 dozers & 5x Caterpillar D11 dozers4x Caterpillar 785 water trucks At BUMA, our people are the source of our success. About You Relevant diesel fitter / heavy vehicle trade qualificationsDemonstrated experience in a similar roleProven experience with 789 and 930E-4 Trucks along with 600 & 800T Caterpillar, Hitachi, & O&K ExcavatorsHigh levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressureSafety focus with a high attention to detail Excellent work planning and scheduling skillsCurrent and valid drivers licenseStandard 11 would be advantageous Working At BUMA Located in Central Queensland, Whitehaven's Blackwater Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 21 kilometres from the town of Blackwater. The BUMA Australia team has been performing truck and excavator pre-strip operations at Blackwater since May 2012. Over 35 million bank cubic metres of material is mined by our fleets every year.
