Mechatronics Intern

We are seeking a Mechatronics Intern to join our Pueblo, Colorado team for the summer of 2025. This individual will learn how to operate in a real mill setting and interact with plant personnel, as well as external suppliers and contractors to execute manufacturing based projects. Must passionately follow health and safety practices Maintain, analyze, and draft reports related to data and performance Interact with all levels of personnel and communicate professionally in written and verbal form Read electrical schematics and perform electrical assembly Pneumatic component and controls assembly Safety protocol and sensors including light curtains PLC programming Electro mechanical diagnostic activity Working with production to implement new equipment Vision System programming to replace human Inspection Plan and document control system design, test, verification and maintenance documents Maintain good attendance and perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related engineering field Strong written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Power BI Heavy industrial experience, preferred Be curious and eager/open to learning new skills Ability to promote safety and maintain a safe work environment while on the job Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment, which will include inside and outside environmental conditions Term May-August 2025, following commencement of Spring Semester Compensation Undergraduate experience $22.55 - $24.72 per hour Graduate experience $25.41 - $26.17 per hour This role is may not be eligible for the benefits programs listed below.
