Position – Role Required GMM, in the context of its ongoing evolution, is seeking an IT Support Specialist. Job Description The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations, ensuring hardware and software function correctly both internally and at external sites via remote support tools. Key Activities Include Workstation Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining PCs, peripherals, and network devices (access points, meeting rooms, printers, PBX systems). Technical Support: Providing first-level support for hardware/software issues and troubleshooting external connections (FTP, VPN). Software and Update Management: Installing and maintaining corporate programs, system updates, and managing email accounts. User and Security Management: Creating and managing employee profiles, network permissions, and monitoring IT system operations. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Controlling, managing, and recovering company data. Supplier and Consultant Interface: Coordinating IT activities with external companies and managing contracts related to telephony, servers, and firewalls. Hardware Maintenance and Disposal: Managing IT inventory and securely erasing data from obsolete equipment. Experience and Skills Hardware and Software: Knowledge of computer internals, hardware/software architectures, and network components. Operating Systems: Experience with Windows Server, Windows 7/10/11, Android, iOS, and client management (domain joining, configuration). Networking and Security: Fundamentals of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall, Wi-Fi, Access Points) and knowledge of key infrastructure services. IT Software: Experience with backup solutions, firewalls, Microsoft Office, and email systems. User and Security Management: Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, antivirus systems, and security policies is desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, listening, and communication skills, essential for understanding and supporting users effectively. Autonomy and proactivity to anticipate needs and propose solutions, along with problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues, are also required.
