This individual will lead their team to provide meaningful procurement solutions and deliver against key performance indicators to contribute to regional procurement and local operational FC goals. They will collaborate with key site and regional operational and support leaders to drive procurement contributions. Key responsibilities include: Hire and develop a strong team capable of delivering procurement solutions and scaling with network demands. Lead the team to develop and manage a reliable, cost-effective, and high-performing supply chain for locally managed goods and services. Ensure network-wide standardization of all procurement-related processes and service activities across Amazon locations. Partner with internal customers to influence spending decisions positively. Lead sourcing engagements and teams, identifying new opportunities and RFXs as appropriate. Analyze and leverage the supply base using analytical tools and techniques. Implement supplier agreements/contracts with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers. Participate in setting up local suppliers and services for new Amazon facilities, including securing long lead-time capital purchases and establishing multi-year contracts. Ensure 100% compliance with policies and procedures. Drive the elimination of waste within procurement processes to standardize best practices across the network. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or equivalent. Relevant sourcing experience. Previous management experience. Motivation to learn, develop, and perform in a fast-paced environment. Proven project management skills. Ability to thrive in ambiguity. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, Coupa, SAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn proprietary systems. Experience with metrics creation and data presentation. Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken). Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Procurement. Advanced supply chain certifications. Advanced analytics and communication skills.
