Job Description Job Description We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Highland Heights, Kentucky. In this role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of financial processes, including managing accounts payable and receivable, billing, and account reconciliation. This position requires strong QuickBooks expertise and an eye for detail to ensure accuracy across all accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Process and maintain accurate records for approximately 300 invoices monthly, ensuring proper allocation to job codes. • Oversee accounts receivable transactions, including handling around 20 weekly entries and preparing client statements to ensure timely payments. • Generate and maintain precise billing records for materials and services based on project specifications and standard rates. • Perform regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy. • Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial transactions, track expenses, and create detailed reports. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies throughout all financial processes. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting functions and improve efficiency. • Prepare detailed financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes. • Monitor and manage cost allocations for job code-based accounting, ensuring accurate project tracking. • At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately. • Experience in construction accounting or job code-based project accounting is a plus. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills for handling billing and statement preparation. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies. • Familiarity with invoice processing and data entry procedures.
