About the Role and Our Client: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to join a growing, multi-site manufacturing company. Key Responsibilities: Controllership: Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures across the organization. Ensure consistent adoption of policies throughout all operating functions. Lead the development of accounting and internal control capabilities across the enterprise. Simplify the current Chart of Accounts and document key accounts as part of "Gross to Net" reporting. Evaluate shared service productivity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy. Guide upgrades to ERP and related systems, with a focus on accounting and financial controls. Consolidate financial results from all plant locations and provide in-depth variance analysis. Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in line with US GAAP. Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cash reporting in collaboration with the Director of FP&A. Support the creation of board reporting packages and executive-level financial presentations. Maintain open communication with leadership regarding internal control frameworks and reporting health. Cost Accounting & Inventory Management: Oversee accurate product costing and margin analysis through robust cost accounting practices. Monitor inventory valuation and conduct regular reconciliations across facilities. Work with plant managers to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste. Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and enforce strong internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. Ensure full compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Stay up to date on changes to accounting standards and guide the organization accordingly. Lead the external audit process in partnership with auditors, ensuring both accuracy and process improvement. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the accounting team to drive high performance and continuous learning. Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and sales to align financial objectives. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and process excellence. Qualifications: CPA 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role in a manufacturing environment (plastics experience is a plus). Private Equity experience strongly preferred. Prior experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm a must Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting practices. ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Strong leadership experience managing accounting functions across multiple locations. Proven ability to implement and improve financial systems and processes. Location & Compensation: Location: On-site position in Twinsburg, Ohio Compensation: Base salary $200,000 to $220,000 depending on experience Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunity.
