And that’s where you come in. Job Description: Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Supply Chain Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role involves tasks ranging from administrative to strategic. It is based in Piossasco (TO), Italy . Accountabilities Ensure submission of all Supply Chain inputs for the Integrated Maintenance Project Plan. Coordinate project material delivery, including spare parts and repairs, with stakeholders. Distribute Logistic Plans & Inventory Reports to project teams. Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance Managers on procurement activities and SLAs, supporting technical specifications development. Assist in assessing obsolescence impacts and lifecycle costs of assets. Oversee procurement processes and establish delivery sequences based on maintenance priorities. Ensure timely delivery of orders. Manage logistics, import/export activities, and customs clearances. Coordinate supply chain activities within ERP/EAM systems (SAP & Maximo) with warehouse and maintenance teams. Create and recommend initiatives for the Client-Capital spare parts Replacement Plan. Monitor parts during repair cycles, evaluate quotes, and manage stock returns. Work with Warranty and Repair teams to expedite spares. Develop processes for managing Overhaul Materials repair loops. Maintain accurate stock locations and spare parts availability systems. Required Skills/Knowledge Minimum 1 year of experience Availability for short travels Good communication skills Teamwork and problem-solving abilities Education/Qualifications Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.
