Senior Engineering Project Manager - Mechanical Building Systems

Mechanical Design Project Manager South Burnaby, BC | Full-Time | Permanent | $90,000 - $120,000 plus benefits We’re looking for a driven Mechanical Design Project Manager to lead a high-performing team on HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design projects. This role bridges technical design and team leadership, with a direct impact on client outcomes and project profitability. What You’ll Do: Manage all aspects of small to mid-sized mechanical design projects Oversee team workflows, task assignments, and deliverables Act as primary liaison with clients and stakeholders Support and mentor junior team members Coordinate with construction teams on design-build initiatives Must-Have Experience: 5 years in mechanical design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) 2 years in a project management role within consulting engineering P.Eng. designation (or eligible) Strong AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling skills Proven track record managing internal teams and external relationships Nice to Have: Familiarity with local building codes and quality assurance practices Experience preparing schematic and design development reports Involvement in professional associations or industry events Prior collaboration with construction teams on integrated projects What’s In It for You: Competitive compensation 4 weeks vacation plus 5 paid sick days Health & dental benefits, life & disability coverage Profit sharing 4% RRSP matching On-site gym, paid parking, tuition support Sound like a fit?
