Accounting Clerk

Job Description Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Stuart, Florida. In this role, you will assist with a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities: • Process accounts receivable by preparing invoices, reviewing aged receivables reports, and following up on outstanding payments. • Support accounts payable tasks, including credit card reconciliations, invoice entries, and vendor information updates in Viewpoint. • Review aged payables reports and ensure unapproved invoices are addressed promptly. • Assist the payroll team with data entry and timecard tracking to ensure accurate payroll processing. • Analyze job costs by comparing actual expenses to billed amounts and making necessary adjustments in Viewpoint. • Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for data comparison and identification of missing job costs. • Review and evaluate monthly work-in-progress reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate with accounts receivable to manage job cost transfers during progress billings. • Handle general accounting tasks, including contract reviews and preparation of lien releases. • Organize and manage both paper and electronic documentation for all accounting areas. • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience. • At least one year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related fields. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation and analysis. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent analytical abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude. • Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint or Procore systems is a plus.
