Asphalt Paving Superintendent - TxDOT

We are currently seeking a seasoned asphalt paving superintendent with TxDOT and industrial experience to join our team. Position Overview The Asphalt Paving Superintendent will oversee the planning, execution, and management of asphalt paving projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders in the construction process. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise asphalt paving projects from start to finish Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking Oversee the training and development of crew members and laborers Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on project status Qualifications Proven experience as a Superintendent in asphalt paving or road construction Familiarity with TxDOT standards and project requirements TWIC card required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
