They are known for their expertise in areas such as data centers, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects. Job Description On-Site Management: Supervise daily on-site activities, ensuring that construction is progressing according to project timelines, budgets, and specifications. Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate all on-site personnel, including subcontractors, laborers, and vendors, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality standards. Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment. Conduct regular site safety inspections and implement corrective measures when needed. Quality Assurance: Monitor work for compliance with design plans and building codes, ensuring that work is performed with high standards of craftsmanship and quality. Progress Reporting: Regularly report on construction progress, including issues, delays, and solutions, to the Project Manager and stakeholders. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to the project schedule. Site Logistics: Manage the coordination of material deliveries, equipment usage, and worker schedules to ensure smooth operations on-site. Project Manager Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resources for all phases of the data center construction project. Ensure that all tasks are well-planned and adequately resourced. Budget & Cost Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that costs remain within project parameters. Prepare financial reports for internal and client review. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Communicate progress and potential issues clearly and promptly. Contractor & Vendor Management: Oversee the selection and management of contractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring that contracts are adhered to and that all deliverables are met. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the smooth resolution of any issues that arise during construction. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and other necessary records. Provide regular project updates and reports to management and clients. Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards specific to data center construction, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and security systems. The Successful Applicant Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 7 years of combined experience as a Construction Superintendent and Project Manager with a strong focus on data center construction or similar critical infrastructure projects (e.g., mission-critical facilities, commercial data centers, or IT infrastructure). Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED accreditation are a plus. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data center design and construction processes, including power and cooling systems, cabling infrastructure, fire suppression systems, security systems, and emergency backup systems. Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing complex construction projects from initiation to completion, including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client relationships. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project) and standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word). Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant construction or safety certifications are strongly preferred. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve challenges on-site and within the project.
