Job Description Key Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of commercial construction projects from start to finish. Support in project planning, scheduling, and coordination of tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Help manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring their work is completed to scope and quality standards. Review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and submittals, and assist in maintaining proper records and files. Monitor project progress and report on status, including potential risks, delays, or issues. Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure safety and quality standards are being met. Support the preparation and review of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate tracking of costs. Assist with safety compliance and ensure that all safety protocols are being followed on-site. Help prepare and participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project status. The Successful Applicant Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in construction, preferably with commercial projects (internships or related experience may be considered). Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management software. Familiarity with construction scheduling and cost control principles. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take initiative when needed. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar). Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing issues as they arise.
