Job Description Job Title: Structural Project Manager Location: Alexandria/Springfield, VA Area About the Role: Hey Structural Engineering Pros! We're seeking a seasoned Structural Project Manager to lead exciting projects in the Alexandria/Springfield, VA area. If you've got a knack for managing teams and delivering top-notch structural designs, we want you on board! You'll be: Supervising: Leading structural designers and engineers. Project Managing: Handling all project phases, from conception to completion, and reporting directly to Principals. Communicating: Coordinating with architects, other engineers, and clients. Designing: Overseeing the analysis and design of structural systems using various building codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.). Field Surveying: Participating in field surveys and documenting existing conditions. Reporting: Writing technical reports and reviewing existing building systems. Documenting: Overseeing the production of Contract Documents (drawings, specs). Construction Oversight: Reviewing submittals and participating in construction observation. Scheduling and Budgeting: Managing staff hours and project costs. Proposal Creation: Reviewing scopes of work and preparing fee proposals. Who You Are: You have 10 years of structural engineering experience, with 4 years in project management. You're a licensed PE or SE. You excel at supervising and mentoring teams. You're a strong communicator and organizer. You thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are a US citizen, or otherwise able to work without sponsorship now, or in the future. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (BSCE, BAE, BSAE). Registered PE or SE. Experience supervising and mentoring structural designers and engineers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in the US without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, MathCAD. Experience with Deltek Ajera. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $115,000 relevant to prior experience.
