Job Description
The HR Business Partner – Operations is responsible for supporting all HR-related needs for the entire Operations Department, with a particular focus on developing leaders and retaining top talent. This position will be located in Tijuana, MX work closely with leaders of the Operations teams including VP Operations, Plant Manager, Production, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Quality onsite at Vapotherm's manufacturing plant. In this role, the HR Business Partner – Operations must exhibit a strong understanding of what high performance looks like, what Vapotherm’s mission-driven culture entails and how to deeply engage with teammates at all levels. The HR Business Partner – Operations requires written and verbal fluency in Spanish and English at a C1 level or higher. Primary Responsibilities: -Lead HR-related objectives on behalf of Operations Team -Partner and provide direction to Shelter HR representative and VapoMex nurse -Create and execute development plans in partnership with leaders -Monitor, assess and hold leaders accountable to results of Operations team members -Serve as go-to HR resource for entire Operations Team, including all personnel needs - Investigate employe relations situations and execute appropriate documentation - Maintain employee personnel files -Coordinate and lead critical HR processes: Performance Reviews, Comp Adjustments, Talent Reviews, Training & Development, etc. -Coach peers and leaders on performance conversations and conflict resolution -Work with leaders to establish methods and strategies for retention of top talent - Support organizational change initiatives and related communication plans -Partner with leaders to build talent pipeline, succession plans and organizational design plans -Lead New Leader Assimilations -Deeply engage with Operations Teams through 1:1 meetings, team sessions, stand up meetings, VapoMex office hours, monthly assembly meetings, etc. Additional Responsibilities: -Assist with comp analysis and tracking -Oversee development and implementation of policies, procedures and training for Operations Team -Involvement in Social Committee (event planning, engagement initiatives, competitions, etc) -Sit on appropriate committees like Safety, EHS, Compliance, etc. as needed -Be point of contact for external partners such as Shelter, landscaping, janitorial, etc. Knowledge, Years of Experience and Education: 3-5 years HR experience in a manufacturing/maquiladora setting with a Shelter company preferred. Ability to work in a fast pace, growth-through-challenges environment a must. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office products and Outlook is required. Communication and organization skills must be strong, especially with sensitive information. Project management experience a plus. Must love to learn, hold a high standard for performance expectations, enjoy new challenges and take initiative. This position is required to make decisions on behalf of the Company, so a strong sense of integrity and passion is also required. The ideal candidate will work as well with people as they do with systems and structure.
