Graduate Software Design Engineer – Cheltenham (Onsite) – £25,000 to £35,000 (DOE) Permanent | Represented by IT Talent IT Talent is proud to be representing a true market leader in the design and manufacture of cutting-edge communications systems. Based in Cheltenham, thi company is at the forefront of monitoring and has recently secured several high-profile contracts, making it an exciting time to join their team. We’re looking for a passionate and bright Graduate Software Design Engineer to join their development team. This role offers a rare opportunity to help shape the next generation of monitoring software, contributing to complex, high-impact projects from day one. The Opportunity: You'll be working as part of a small, collaborative engineering team, developing software that underpins mission-critical communications systems. This is a hands-on, onsite role offering excellent exposure to new technologies and real-world product development. What You’ll Need: * A 2:1 degree (or higher) in an engineering or numerically focused discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, or Maths) * Ideally, 2 years of industry experience (though strong recent graduates will also be considered) Beneficial Experience (Not Essential): * Linux development * Version control tools (e.g. Git, SVN) * Digital Signal Processing (DSP) * High Performance Computing (HPC) * Audio or data processing * Databases * Qt framework What’s In It for You? * A chance to work with industry leaders on complex and innovative systems * Hands-on exposure to high-tech projects with real-world applications * A supportive and dynamic team environment * Salary: £25,000 – £35,000, depending on experience * Excellent long-term career progression potential
