Quarry Supervisor (Nightshift)

We are currently looking for a Quarry Supervisor (Nightshift) to join our friendly team based in our Tarmac Swinden Quarry near Skipton in North Yorkshire. Working 48 hrs week this key role will supervise our nightshift from 18:00 to 06:00 can be flexible depending on trains.As well as Skipton, this site is also accessible from Clitheroe, Settle, Ilkley, Keighley, Otley, Harrogate, Ripon, Burnley, Bradford, Leyburn and the surrounding areas Were working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and its important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds. Main Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager, the Quarry Supervisor will assist in the management of a busy quarry supervising and operating both fixed and mobile Plant equipment. As Quarry Supervisor you will also be responsible for: Administrative and compliance duties Using computer systems (Fortek, SAP, Excel and similar platforms) Housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures and encouraging others to do so Supervising a team (Operators, Fitters, Electricians) across the quarry Occasional night shifts and weekend working that will be on a rota basis Work with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant is always running to its expected capacity and in line with the manufacturing and production programme The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for the role of Quarry Supervisor will have previous experience of working within a Quarry, Asphalt plant environment or similar. Supervisor experience is essential.
