Job Description

Service Care Solutions is working closely with The Office of the Advocate General (OAG) based at Queen Elizabeth House. We are currently seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join their dedicated team on a temporary basis. They offer a flexible working pattern of 40% in the office and the rest working from home. They do have the option of fully in-office if preferred. About the Role: Working in the OAG Litigation Division, you’ll support a diverse range of civil litigation for UK Government departments, including high-profile cases in areas such as immigration, human rights, constitutional and equality law. Much of the work involves judicial reviews in the Court of Session, and occasionally, cases before the Upper Tribunal. What We’re Looking For: Litigation experience, ideally in the Court of Session Strong legal analysis and advisory skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage complex workloads under pressure A Solicitor or Advocate admitted in Scotland with a valid practising certificate Experience with public law, immigration, human rights, or Civil litigation is an advantageContract Duration and Salary: 12 months initially, with the possibility of extension up to 23 months Start: June 2025 Salary: £59,348 - LTD DAY RATE: £311.39 – PAYE (INC) £264.36This role closes Friday 9th May at 10am.
